The Diversitec Distrbutors Pte Ltd, wholly-owned by
Sapura Holdings, is a member of the Sapura Group of Companies and
listed on the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange.
Diversitec Distributors Pte Ltd was founded in 1983
to consolidate the distribution, sales and services support activities
for the company's increasing product lines.
In early 1986 the company was appointed the exclusive
distributor for Apple Computer products in Singapore and Brunei.
Diversitec re-established the Apple corporate image in the market
and created public awareness of Apple products. The operation was
successful to the point that in late 1989 Apple Computer Inc decided
to establish a presence in Singapore and tool over the distribution
of their products. With Apple's enthusiastic support, Diversitec
Distributors Pte Ltd continues to excel as the largest supplier
of Apple products in the ASEAN countries.
In the course of the Apple re-launch, Diversitec established
the Macintosh as a superior business and education computer in addition
to being the finest Desktop Publishing System available. Diversitec's
commitment to Apple is so strong and effective that, her name is
synonymous with Apple. As a result, Apple has hand-picked Diversitec
as its critical partner in a number of prestigious projects in Singapore,
such as the Apple University Consortium (AUC) launched in 1986,
and recent (1997) joint efforts with the Singapore Ministry of Education
to computerize local primary schools (AITP), in 1997.
In 2000, Diversitec transferred its Apple distribution business
to its wholly owned subsidiary company, Micro Express Sales Pte
Ltd, whose charter is on the distribution of IT products in South
Asia. Micro Express Sales focuses on provision of IT solutions and
services to government, education, corporations (large and SME)
and end-users on both Apple and Window platforms.
Today, Diversitec offers a wide range of IT solutions
and services to assist our customers to improve productivity, work-flow
and profitability.
Diversitec also offers product training in conjunction
with its core business of distribution sales & services of the
company’s product lines. The training department in Diversitec
Distributors was so successful in the late 80s and early 90s that,
it was turned into an independent company : The Best IT Service Company Pte Ltd (BITS) in 1993.. BitS provides Adobe and Marcomedia training.
